Henrietta “Hank” Davis
has been knitting since she was 12, but really got 'hooked' about 10 years ago. In 2006, she retired as Director of Research at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN. For the last 5-6 years, her dream was to own and operate a yarn shop, and with the help and support of her family, she is now realizing her dream.
Since high school, Henrietta's nickname has been "Hank," and for several years, her email address has been hankofyarn@hotmail.com. When it came to finding a name for the shop, it seemed natural to name it Hank of Yarn. In case you don't know, a 'hank' of yarn is the unwound skein before it is put into a ball.

has also been knitting since she was 12. She retired after 34+ years with IBM. Knitting has always been her passion, and she is delighted to join Hank at the shop. You will find Kathy at the shop almost every day.

has been knitting for barely a year. She loves it, and has started her own "stash," as every knitter has. Charlotte works at Hank of Yarn on Wednesdays and Fridays.

My mom taught me how to knit when I was 8. My first project was a pair of socks, but I stopped knitting halfway through the second sock and didn’t begin knitting again until I turned 20. Now I almost exclusively knit socks and other small projects.
